The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT) is the most widely used test of reasoning ability in the UK.

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT) measures the three principal areas of reasoning - verbal, non-verbal and quantitative - as well as an element of spatial ability, allowing you to test the full range within an entire class or year. The data that CAT provides can be used to enhance all aspects of the teaching and learning process, from organising classes to providing future educational attainment.
